The Office of Student Teaching & Field Experience

The Office of Student Teaching and Field Experience is responsible for the placement and supervision of UA student teachers in area schools.

Student teaching placement Spring 2021

Please contact your MENTOR TEACHER as soon as possible!

  • Student teaching placement will be for August 23 to December 12, 2021.
  • You will receive your placement PRIOR to the start of the fall semester.

The application for student teaching will close February 7, 2021 at 5 p.m., late applications will not be accepted.

  • We will send out student teaching placements prior to the start of Fall 2021 semester. We kindly ask that you do not contact the office about placements or when you will receive them.

Field Experience

All teacher education students are required to participate satisfactorily in clinical and field-based experiences prior to recommendation for licensure for teaching in Ohio.  All placements in field experiences are made by the Office of Student Teaching and Field Experience and assigned by course instructors.
