Mandatory Direct-Deposit
As of August 18, 2025, the University of Akron is going 100% direct deposit. If you are currently receiving a live check, you will be receiving several forms of correspondence letting you know what you will need to do to set up your bank account. You can also find a quick link to the direct deposit instructions on the right-hand side of this website.
Get Prepared for your W2
As the end of the year approaches, payroll would like to remind all staff that when W2s are released in January a current cell phone number will be needed to access it.
To update your cell phone number in Workday, please do the following:
- Log into Workday
- On the left hand side, click on menu
- choose personal information
- under change choose Contact Information
- Click Edit in the upper left hand corner
- Under phone, click the pencil in the right hand corner
- Update the phone number
- At the bottom of the page, click submit
