Q: Why did you want to go to UA?

A: UA is close to Orrville and has great business programs. It was important for me to be close to home and be somewhere with strong academics.

Q: What campus activities were you involved in?

A:  For short-term activities, I participated in study-abroad trips to Ecuador with the Leadership Advancement Program led by Jeff Klemm, senior director of Professional Development & Strategic Engagement in the College of Business, and a supply chain trip to Spain and Portugal during spring break with Dr. Mahesh Srinivasan, professor of management. Longer term, I was president of Women in Business, a College of Business student organization.

Q: What campus honors or awards have you received?

A: I received the College of Business Edge Honors Medal. I was also the recipient of the Presidential Scholarship, the Barnett International Business Scholarship and the EM Management Administration Scholarship. For work on a client project, I earned a nomination from the American Advertising Federation (AAF) Akron Chapter in the Integrated Advertising Campaign category. I also achieved Level 1 and Level 2 designations from UA’s Institute of Leadership Advancement.

Q: What are your plans after graduation?

A: My goal is to move out of the state by next summer with a job at a marketing agency, doing public relations and marketing. I don’t have a set city or state in mind, but anywhere outside Ohio. I’m ready to explore life outside my home state!

Q: What is your favorite memory of UA?

A:  I’m sure it will be when I walk the stage at Commencement, but also all the amazing women I met and became friends with through Dr. Sydney Chinchanachokchai’s integrated marketing communications class one year ago.

Q: What unique things should we know about you?

A:  I was born in Seoul, South Korea.
