Intramural Sports
We offer opportunities for students, faculty and staff of The University of Akron to participate in organized sports experiences. Over 30 sport leagues and special events are offered each year.
Changes to IMS registration
Starting in the spring 2026 semester, all intramural sports participants must buy an individual IMS Play Pass to be eligible to play in any intramural event. Exceptions include fantasy football and the March madness challenge.
Additionally, registration and scheduling for all intramural sports activities will be run through DSE. We will no longer be using IMLeagues.

Officiating
The University of Akron consistently develops some of the top officials among collegiate intramural sports programs in the nation.
Extramurals
