The table below lists the rate for tuition and fees for undergraduate students admitted to The University of Akron for the 2026-27 academic year. This is an estimate only and should not be considered your official guaranteed cost.

These rates apply to the Akron main campus only. These totals do not include course fees, housing, dining or books – for more information please see the cost of attendance below.

UA Tuition Guarantee Program

The UA Tuition Guarantee is a cohort based, level-rate tuition, select fees, housing, and dining model that assures students and their families a set of comprehensive rates for the pursuit of an undergraduate degree at The University of Akron. Program fees for study abroad and domestic travel courses (e.g. flight costs, activity fees, etc.) are not part of the UA Tuition Guarantee; however, the tuition for these courses is included in the Tuition Guarantee.

Cost of Attendance

Please be aware that your full cost of attendance includes tuition and fees, as well as estimated expenses for food and housing, books and course materials, supplies and equipment, transportation, and personal needs for the terms in which you are enrolled.

Of these components, the only costs billed directly by The University of Akron are tuition and fees, on‑campus housing and dining for residential students, and meal plans purchased by commuter students.

Tuition and fee assessment is dependent upon the following factors:

  • Student level (undergraduate, graduate, law)
  • Campus of class(es) (main or regional)
  • Course load (number of credit hours of enrollment)
  • Ohio residency

The University of Akron reserves the right to make, without prior notice, any fee adjustments that may become necessary.
