Legacy Program

The University of Akron Legacy Program celebrates students who continue a family tradition by choosing UA. Whether your parent, grandparent, or legal guardian is a proud alumnus, you're part of a community built on shared experiences, lasting connections, and generations of Zip pride.

How to Join? 

When you applied to UA, if you indicated you are a Legacy Student then you’re already in. If you aren’t receiving communication from the Office of Alumni Relations, please fill out this form.

Legacy Scholarship 

The Legacy Scholarship supports full-time undergraduate students who are children, grandchildren, or legal dependents of University of Akron alumni. Established by the Alumni Association in 2001, the scholarship has awarded more than $300,000 to 300+ students, helping generations of Zips continue their UA journey.
