The Bolinger family continues to add UA graduates! What started with Clyde H., BA ’54, and Jean A., BA ’58, Bolinger and their four children now also includes two sons-in-law and four grandchildren – all of whom are proud UA graduates. What’s more, grandson Patrick O. Wagers, BS ’10, MS, 14, is completing his PhD in chemistry and married alumna Lynn M. Lalley, BS ’11, in June 2014 – adding a 13th alumnus to the growing list! Of course, Zippy was a featured guest at the rehearsal dinner, along with these UA graduates and students (left to right) in the wedding party:
On the right, newlyweds Patrick and Lynn (Lalley) Wagers pose for a wedding photo outside – where else – UA’s Buchtel Hall!
Zippy was thrilled when Ann (Gosnell) Knaak, BA ’72, JD ’81, and her husband, Hans, invited her to their Tucson, Ariz., home for an extended stay.
Sipping with Zippy at Childress Vineyards in Lexington, N.C., were UA alumni and friends JoAnn Oelschlager; John Lutes, BSBA ’61; Diane Snyder Lutes, BSED ’64; and Barbara McDonald Webb, BSED ’64.
Lary J. George, BSIM ’71, past president of Delta Sigma Pi, got reacquainted with Zippy, who brought back UA memories about the “Rock” and outstanding CBA professors like Carl Schilif who had “little tolerance for papers that did not weigh very much!”
