Transfer Equivalency Database

Will my coursework transfer to UA?

Welcome to our Transfer Equivalency Database. Use this tool to determine whether the courses you completed at another college and university will transfer to UA. Here is how:

  1. Select the country of your current university
  2. Select the state
  3. Select your college or university
  4. Choose "Show all Departments" or "Show one Department" to see the list of transferable classes.

Courses in sequence

If two courses are listed consecutively in the same color row, those courses must both be taken in order to receive the UA equivalent. If only one course in the set is taken, the course will transfer as elective credit, unless listed otherwise.

Quarters to semesters

When looking up an institution that was previously on a quarter schedule and is now on semesters, course numbers will be listed to reflect the differences.

No equivalent match found

A coding of 0000:NO No Equiv Transfr Wk indicates that the course has been evaluated and does not have an equivalent. The course will count as an elective.

No course or institution listed

Finally, if you do not see your course or institution listed, that likely means that the course has not been evaluated. If a course has not been evaluated from the previously attended university we will need a syllabus to evaluate and approve the course.

Please send any required syllabi that you wish to receive specific course credit for to our syllabi coordinator at transfercredit@uakron.edu. If a syllabus is not received and/or approved, the course will still count as elective credit.

This is the most current list of transfer equivalencies that have been determined by our faculty.
