John C. Green
Dr. John C. Green became interim president on May 1, 2018. A 30-year, UA administrator and faculty member, Dr. Green’s accomplishments include service as:
- dean of Buchtel College of Arts and Sciences, UA’s largest academic unit, since 2015;
- vice dean for liberal arts, chair of the Department of Political Science and interim chair for five other departments;
- director of the nationally renowned Ray C. Bliss Institute for Applied Politics; and
- senior research advisor to the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life.
- He also is an author whose works includes 9 books, 32 edited books, 39 refereed journals and 120 scholarly and popular publications
