Overview

Information Systems Management Concentration

This concentration focuses on applying models, systems, and AI to business analytics. You’ll gain expertise in data management, systems development, project management, and strategic decision-making. Graduates are prepared for roles such as Business Intelligence Analyst, IT Project Manager, Data Analytics Manager, and long-term leadership positions like Chief Information Officer (CIO). 

Supply Chain Management Concentration

This concentration emphasizes analytics for sourcing, logistics, procurement, and operations. You’ll develop skills to optimize supply chain performance using advanced modeling and business intelligence tools. Career paths include Supply Chain Analyst, Operations Manager, Procurement Manager, Demand Planner, and Global Supply Chain Strategist. 

Both concentrations can be completed in as little as one year, with 30 credits of core and elective courses tailored to your career goals. Whatever your goals, the MSM-BA at The University of Akron gives you the skills, experience, and confidence to launch your career and succeed as a leader in analytics-driven organizations.
