Opening May 5, 2026. A free opening reception well be held on May 5 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

Uprooted and Replanted considers Naomi Torgler's personal identity as a Chinese adoptee living in the United States. Torgler explores cultural practices and traditional symbolism to express the death of her Chinese lineage and to represent her presence in the United States. Without having any memories of her birthplace, she communicates the tension between the inherited absence and the construction of a different sense of belonging.
