J.D. Vance Quietly Supports Bill His GOP Allies Hate - and His Opponent Sponsored

The CHIPS Act, which stands for Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors for America, is an initiative by U.S. lawmakers to make American semiconductor manufacturing more competitive with China. Recent passage of the act by the U.S. Senate is "doubly complicated" for Ohio Senate GOP nominee J.D. Vance, said Dr. David B. Cohen, professor of political science, director of UA’s Applied Politics program and a fellow with the Ray C. Bliss Institute of Applied Politics.
