Biography

Prior to joining the clinical faculty at the University of Akron in October, 2005 I spent most of my career in private practice.  At the University I provide clinical instruction for 2nd and 3rd year doctoral students in the areas of adult and pediatric assessment and treatment and auditory processing disorders. My teaching assignments have included Hearing Aid Technology and Central Auditory Processing: Assessment and Management.

I continue to be very active in state and national professional associations. I am a member of the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Audiology and serve as the Chair of the Ohio Speech and Hearing Governmental Affairs Coalition.

At The University of Akron I wear several hats. While I continue to be a clinical service provider to patients with hearing, balance and auditory processing disorders, I am also a clinical preceptor and the Coordinator of the Northeast Ohio Au.D. Consortium and the Hearing Aid Dispensary.

In my spare time I enjoy reading and traveling. I am a dedicated fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ and the Pittsburgh Penguin’s and enjoy spending time with my yellow lab Grace Kelly!
